Welcome in the golfer's garden of Eden, the sunny paradise to enjoy special holidays in a beautiful and secure environment, within one of the most successful Golf and Nature Estates in Southern Africa. Anchor House is situated on the fabulous Mossel Bay Country and Nature Estate, overlooking the Indian Ocean and having spectacular views over the links like par 72 golf course, where you can see the sea from every tee.
Enjoy a drink on your patio and watch your fellow golfers teeing off or on the green, as well as the wonderful and scenic views on the Nature Reserve and observe the various different birds and springboks on the Estate.
Apart from playing golf on your home course, you can enjoy various different excellent golf courses close by, from Fancourt , where the Presidents Cup was held in 2003, via George Golf Club to Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Oudtshorn or you are invited to make use of the outdoor pool beside Anchor House and the squash courses in the clubhouse, which is in walking distance and has a restaurant and of course a pub. With the services of a PGA pro close at hand on at the Mossel Bay Golf Club , your swing is sure to improve.
There are many more attractions to be discovered in Mossel Bay and close by. For the more courageous and sportive character, you will find skydiving, paragliding, bungee jumping from the highest bridge in the world, shark cage diving, 4x4 trails, enjoy the Robinson and Outeniqua pass on a motorbike, abseiling, helicopter flights, horseriding on the beach, hiking trails in the Outeniqua mountains and of course big five game drives to see SA wildlife.
But there are of course less challenging attractions, like scuba diving, surfing and bodyboarding at the famous Point waves, just plain swimming in the sea, tennis, canoeing, cycling, walking the far stretched beautiful sandy beaches or hiking the coastal trail above the cliffs or go to the rocks to fish. You can also go on a steam train, hire a skiboat for deepsea fishing or ride a hot air ballon and see the sunrise above the Karoo.
For the odd rainy day, there are a lot of shopping malls and interesting museums and galleries around and a wonderful Barnyard theater to experience.
